Siambylla brings a taste of Sweden to one of Jomtien’s quieter corners, tucked away in Chom Thian 3 Alley. This small Swedish restaurant stands out amid the usual mix of Thai and Western eateries along the lower sois, offering a straightforward, no-frills environment where the focus is clearly on recreating familiar Nordic flavors for locals and expats craving something different.

Inside, the setting is modest — nothing fancy, but functional and welcoming enough for a casual meal without fuss. The vibe is relaxed and unpretentious, making it a spot where you can drop by for a quick bite or linger without feeling rushed. Given its location off the main tourist drag, it seems to draw a mix of people: expats who appreciate Swedish-style comfort food as well as locals curious enough to sample dishes from the North.

The menu highlights include Kál Pudding with Potatis (a traditional dish served with potatoes), Zweedse Meatburger, and Innbakt Pizza, reflecting a fusion of familiar Swedish ingredients prepared in ways that feel approachable. Though pizza and burgers appear to be popular picks—especially among those who prefer casual, homely meals—some diners note that not all offerings hit authentic marks consistently, so it’s a bit of a mixed bag if strict Swedish authenticity is your benchmark.

Siambylla is best suited for people with a casual appetite for Swedish food or those wanting a break from the usual Thai and international options in the area. It’s less about a polished dining experience and more about straightforward food that walks a line between traditional Nordic dishes and easygoing fast-fare. Visiting early evening or around lunch on quieter days might give the best chance to enjoy the meal without much crowd or noise.

Those interested in sampling Swedish-style pizzas, meatburgers, and hotdogs — with a local twist — will find Siambylla a practical stop, especially if navigating Jomtien’s lower sois for a relaxed meal option. The overall atmosphere is low-key and familiar, catering mainly to those who appreciate simplicity over flair.

I came with two Thai friends. I have called and they confirmed that they had Swedish Falu sausage, the reason we choose the place. My friend knows exactly nothing about Swedish Falu sausage and they liked it. The sausage was OK, but it was not Falu sausage so I was disappointed. The hamburger was a waste of time and money. Even though I ordered a pork burger it was very hard and dry. Maybe mix some eggs and boiled potato in the minced meat to make it soft and tender, like a pannbiff. After this I did expect ZERO from the Kålpudding, my favorite dish and I had have millions of them. From out of nowhere this Kålpudding made it to THE BEST I have ever had. Much because they cheated with the lingon jam and served it with blueberry jam. I ordered a second plate and one plate for my friend. My friend loved it even though he was full after the sausage. The sauce, the best sauce I have had in Thailand and the potato, also the best I have ever had in Thailand. Perfectly done. Me and my friends can't wait to come back again for more Kålpudding. And we felt very good when we left even though we had had too much to eat.
